The beginning

Welcome to our brand new blog! 
My name is Darlene and my Honey is Dave. 
Together we decided to purchase a camper and begin the adventure of seeing the country (or at least the parts we really want to see) though the windshield of a 30 ft. Class C RV. This blog is being created to document the fun, share our adventures and perhaps inspire someone else to do the same. Owning an RV has been a lifelong dream for Dave and I both. For various reasons it just never happened for either of us until now. Sometimes good things really do come to people who wait!
 Dave's been an outdoorsy type for his whole life and has always been a camper, he has just always "roughed it" with tents and campfires and bugs, never in the comfort of an RV. I've always been the same way. There is something just magical about campfires, huddling into a snug sleeping bag and being able to get a perfect night sleep out in the open air. Now I realize that to some people tent camping seems a bit primitive, but to people like us, it has always been a way to be have fun, get away from the city and stresses that seem to abound there, shake hands with Mother Nature and enjoy the sounds of rivers, birds singing, an occasional coyote and silence. I have to admit, sometimes the silence is noisy. If you've ever experienced that, you are maybe shaking your head in agreement. If you've no idea what I am talking about, grab yourself a tent, a few days out under the stars in the warm summer and find out. It's really amazing! 

For now, this blog is intended to document our journey through the RV ownership process as well as keep track of places we go, people we meet and sharing something wonderful together. Hopefully there will be lots of pictures, some good, sound advice and even some laughter along the way.
